Whence

That is a very good question that has been of much interest for a few centuries (and many generations). We know that the couple came on the Zouch Phoenix in 1624 with their kids. We also know that there had been activity in the prior fall (Cape Ann, 1623).

There have been several suggestions about the origins of this family, and these are undergoing study.
