We saw a little blurb on Bing that mentioned Faraday. Okay, I followed since I feel that we need to go back to his time and come forward with analytic lens on. Too many bad choices have accumulated since then. That type of thing is under the Technology focus of TGS. Faraday was the son of a black-smith and self-educated. We will get back to both of those themes.
Here are a couple posts:
- Faraday demonstrates electromagnetism - It gives August 29, 1831. It is nice to know the year in order to put things in perspective.
- Electromagnetic induction - Wikipedia does a good job of describing Faraday's work and results plus then going into theory and what's known now.

Well, the blurb also had other years. The one that we picked was Shays' Rebellion. This was also an August 29th event when a conflict got started in 1786. The U.S. was a new country. There was a debt crisis. Involved were veterans of the American Revolution. One of these was Job Shattuck (Wikipedia; WikiTree) and an old New England family.
